Political Involvement

Sue Martin participated in the 2009 ASA Capitol Hill Fly-In July 28 & 29, 2009.

Sue joined other collision repairers from across the country and fanned out over Capitol Hill to discuss insurance reform and the repeal fo the McCarran-Ferguson Act with their representatives and senators.

G & M Body & Paint Shop

owner Sue Martin wants to acknowledge that over a year ago the normal routine of G & M Body Shop was shattered by the acts of an employee that took both his life and the life of the owner, Mike Martin. Friends, customers, business associates, & family froze, unable to comprehend the tragedy that occurred at G & M Body Shop.  We were not alone.  The City of Ontario and surrounding communities, reeled in the shock that followed this heartbreaking news, we mourned as one.

A little over a year later, the memories of the tragedy are never far away.  We also reflect on the people that from the first moments surrounded us.  We saw courage & commitment in the staff at G & M Body Shop and the business associates that came to the shop on Sunday to call customers informing them to come in for scheduled appointments, and cleaning the shop so work could take place on Monday.  We saw courage in the police officers who appeared first on the scene, not knowing exactly what the circumstance was.  We saw empathy & support in  the condolences and prayers that poured in from the community.

As we pause one year later, our thoughts focus on the two lives lost on that tragic day, and the families and friends they left behind.  We resolve to always remember March 20, 2009 and keep moving forward with our work & lives.  Thank you to the employees, customers, business associates, family & friends that have helped us to remain a strong and viable business in the year following this unbellievable event.

Our family-owned business has been serving the area for 54 years with friendly, quality auto collision repair service.  We will continue that long tradition with the same high standards, met consistently by experienced body and paint specialists and knowledgeable office staff.  We work with all insurance companies.
