Our Repair Process

Below is a brief explanation of the steps involved in the repair process of your vehicle. See, step-by-step, how we restore your vehicle to its original condition!

An estimate is a preliminary inspection of your vehicle to determine the approximate costs for repairs on your vehicle. Be aware that not all damage may be found on initial estimate. Disassembly of vehicle often reveals more damage and supplemental estimate may need to be written.

1. Estimate

This is an authorization from the insurance company given to the car owner and/or repair facility to move forward with the vehicle repair. At times, there may be some negotiation on price and labor procedures. Please remember all insurance companies have different policies and procedures regarding the approval of a repair. If you have questions, please contact your insurance company.

2. Insurance Approval

In disassembly, hidden damage is often found, and inner structure repairs are determined. A supplemental estimate will often be needed to be written at this time. If this is the case, your insurance may require us to contact them for repair and replacement approval.

3. Disassembly

In most repairs, parts need to be ordered to properly repair the vehicle. Occasionally parts are backordered and the vehicle repair process will not start until all structural replacement parts are delivered.

In this process, our experienced technicians will repair and straighten all damage to factory specifications and pre-accident condition.

5. Structure Repair

Color Matching is done with the aid of a computer database. The database stores the many thousands of paint codes and formulas that make up a specific paint color. Once the paint is mixed it is then checked for variations. Once the final mixture is prepared the parts that have been removed from the vehicle will be edged. Edging is the process where we paint the surfaces that can not be accessed once the vehicle is re-assembled.

Paint Preparation is a critical step in the refinishing process of every vehicle. All panels are prepared for paint, then primed and sealed to assure good adhesion when the final top color and clear coats of paint are applied.

Using our state-of-the-art downdraft refinishing system, your car will be painted using the PPG Global Refinishing System, one of the finest paint systems in the world. After the refinish has been applied, the vehicle will be baked to provide a resilient and lifelong finish.

9. Paint

Final moldings and detail pieces are put back on the vehicle in the reassembly area. All the vehicle's systems are checked during this process. The vehicle is almost complete and ready for delivery when it is in this stage.

10. Reassembly

During the repair process the vehicle accumulates dust from the repairs. We will clean your vehicle and make sure all the fine details are complete. We will also road test your vehicle to ensure that everything is working properly. This final inspection is required to assure that the vehicle is restored to it's pre-accident condition.

11. Detailing

Delivery is the last step in the repair process. When the customer arrives to pick up the vehicle, the bill is explained and the final paper work is completed. The customer drives away in the vehicle that has been restored to it's original condition.
